Description
Aquilegia is a perennial plant found in meadows and woodlands and is known for its spurred petals . The common name “columbine”, comes from the Latin for “dove”, due to the resemblance of the inverted flower to five doves clustered together. Elegant purple and pink flowers appear to cling to the contours of the piece, on a ground of varying green hues which turn to deep purple at the base.
