Description
The flames from the coal furnaces become copper and orange cornflowers flecked with red, each flower framing a section of the vase. In the first section, the thrower demonstrates his art on the potters’ wheel; in the second, the sagger places carefully stack the hard clay saggers full of fine art pottery, whilst in the third, William watches over the painters and tubeliners creating.
