Description
Fired a novel three times, and with each piece turned on a potters lathe to perfect its shape, the vase first receives a light sgraffito (incised) outline of the design over its surface. After this initial work, fine glazes enriched with metallic oxide colours are applied with skilled brush strokes to create the design. After the third and final firing, the piece is then complete. Rich purple and green on an oatmeal ground.
