Description
In 2014, tubeliner Gill Johnson, submitted a striking interpretation of indigenous Australian art. Nothing like it had emerged from the kilns before. An especially unusual collection, Papunya features a kangaroo, a ducked-billed playtpus, a snake and an echidna as stylized black silhouettes on a yellow ground, surrounded by Aboriginal inspired dotted swirls.
