Description
The fourth ginger jar in the Shakespeare Series made for B & W Thornton of Stratford upon Avon features images taken from Shakespeare’s play, King Lear. For the first time in 60 years, ripe corn was used as a design feature. With that came ‘furrow weeds’ – words taken directly from the play itself. Varying shades of ochre on a rich green and dark blue washed ground make this a standout piece.
