Description
Stout-bodied birds with short necks and short slender bills, doves feed on seeds, fruits and plants. This family occurs worldwide, but the greatest variety is in the Indomalaya and Australasia ecozones. The dove with olive branch is considered a symbol of care, devotion, purity and peace. Sally’s white dove flies high against a soft apricot ground, encircled by olive leaves and a soft green wash around the rim.
