Description

Sally’s design inspiration is a set of medieval tapestries titled La Dame a la Licorne whose poetry, beauty and mystery have captivated connoisseurs and tourists for hundreds of years. Representing the senses of sight, sound, taste, touch and smell, the tapestries were rediscovered in a chateau in Boussac in 1844 and are now on display in the Musée Cluny, Paris. Painted in colours influenced by the tapestries.
