Description
Completed in 1901, Blackwell is a large Arts and Crafts house overlooking Lake Windermere. Designed by architect, Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott, it was built as a holiday home for Sir Edward Holt, a wealthy Manchester brewer. Inspiration is derived from a stained glass window circa 1900 in the Master Bedroom designed by M.H. Baillie Scott.
