Description
Endemic to Australia, the Black Bean, otherwise known as the Moreton Bay Chestnut, has spectacular orange and yellow flowers attractive to birds, butterflies and bats. The mature chestnut-brown seeds are carried in large, pendulous woody pods shaped like canoes. The Black Bean prefers fertile, moist soil around coastal rainforests and beaches.
