Description
Aquitaine is a region of south-west France on the Bay of Biscay. From the word go, the colours used in Aquitaine refused to work together as the designer had intended. Painters became frustrated at their inability to perfect their art and production of Aquitaine ground to an abrupt halt. To own an Aquitaine vase today is to own a piece which is more rare than the number on each piece suggests.
