Description

Anemones are called ‘wind flowers’, derived from the Greek word anemoi which in English means ‘winds’. William’s pre-war design was used regularly by Walter from 1945 until 1975, at which time, he redrew it. This annual plate sees Walter’s version of the new Anemone design with flowers and a bud in deep purple and muted pink, with cream leaves dancing on an ivory ground.
