Description
The hibiscus is a genus of flowering plant comprising several hundred species throughout the world. Drawn circa 1949 from pressed flowers sent to Walter from Jamaica, the hibiscus evolved in different colourways and on different grounds from the early 1960’s through to 1986. Walter’s rich red hibiscus flowers sit nestled together amongst light green leaves on an olive green ground.
