In April 2005 Hugh Edwards was fighting for his life with wasted muscles and a shattered nervous system. Only his love of Moorcroft and the coming spring kept him going. He resolved to walk 100 yards and pick the first daffodil to unfold in his garden and he succeeded. Rachel designed Professor Hope, a tribute to Professor Stephen O’Rahilly, the remarkable Cambridge doctor who saved Hugh’s life.
