Description
Built in 1804, this tower mill is the only remaining windmill in Thaxted. It has been fully restored and is in working order. Sally Tuffin’s design places John Webb’s mill front and centre with the Church to the left and Guildhall to the right in a simple but effective palette on a dark green ground. This plate is from a proposed series of three, made exclusively for Thaxted Guildhall Trustees in 1991.
