Returning to Moorcroft after the birth of her first baby, Nicola Slaney created a pretty design for Spring Festival 2002. Reflecting on the arrival of her newborn and the coming arrival of Spring, synchronicity played a huge part. Titled Ella’s Dream, tulips and hyacinths in rich colours, dance with stylised leaves in the form of ribbons which appear to be blowing in a soft spring breeze on a cream ground.
