Description
Completed in 1901, Blackwell is a large Arts and Crafts house overlooking Lake Windermere, designed by architect Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott. The tryptich plaque is adorned with three different scenes using the ‘stained glass’ technique. Inspiration came from windows in the White Drawing Room with their stylised tulips and turquoise Arts and Crafts motives.
