Description
The second ginger jar in the Shakespeare Series made for B & W Thornton of Stratford-upon-Avon features images taken from Shakespeare’s drama, Hamlet. Ophelia is a young noblewoman of Denmark, the daughter of Polonius, sister of Laertes and potential wife of Prince Hamlet. Ophelia is the most represented of Shakespeare’s heroines in painting, literature and popular culture.
